Welcome to Storchen
The Gasthaus zum Storchen combines traditional home-style cuisine with regional products and an atmosphere that invites guests to linger. The focus is on dishes with a strong regional character, accompanied by selected wines and beers brewed by the castle itself.
The Storchen is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (hot meals served until 9:00 p.m.).
When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating area also invites guests to relax.
Food
lunch
At lunchtime, we serve daily changing menus with vegetarian options and meat dishes. In addition, the full à la carte menu is available.
The dishes are based on seasonal ingredients and are suitable both for a quick lunch break and for a shared meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
Evenings
In the evening, a diverse selection of vegetarian and meat dishes from the full menu invites guests to enjoy.
In its signature clear style, the kitchen presents the dishes in a slightly more refined way in the evening. These are accompanied by a carefully curated selection of wines as well as beers brewed by the castle itself.
Drinks
Schlossbräu Original
With the Schlossbräu Original, we serve a beer brewed in-house using water from Schlossrued. This bottom-fermented beer is mildly hopped, golden in color, and well balanced in taste. It naturally complements the traditional cuisine served at the Storchen.
Beiz
The “Beiz” is the heart of the inn. Kept in a light green tone, open and lively, it offers space for relaxed get-togethers, conversations, and a glass of wine. It is a place where evenings naturally unfold.
Säli
The “Säli” is designed in black and white and conveys an urban atmosphere. It is well suited for smaller groups and special occasions, offering a setting for conversations in a quieter environment. It is a place with its own distinct mood within the inn.
